The Negri Sembilan Islamic Religious Affairs Department has directed all mosques in the state to hold special prayers for the wellbeing of Tunku Alif Hussein Saifuddin Al-Amin ibni Tuanku Muhriz, the youngest son of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.
Its director Datuk Selamat Paigo said the special prayer would be held simultaneously at all mosques in the state after the Maghrib prayer today.
"I appeal to all Muslims in the state to join together in holding the 'hajat' prayer in the mosque in their respective areas to pray for the recovery of Tunku Alif Hussein Saifuddin Al-Amin from his illness and that he would be blessed with long-lasting health by the Almighty," he said when contacted by Bernama today.
Meanwhile, the Official Functions and Protocol Management Unit of the Negri Sembilan State Secretariat informed in a statement the cancellation of the Guard of Honour ceremony in conjunction with the 68th birthday anniversary of Tuanku Muhriz, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday at 7.15 am at the Padang Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah.
The state banquet in conjunction with Tuanku Mukhriz's birthday anniversary, which was scheduled this Saturday at 7.45 pm at the Klana Resort, Seremban, had also been postponed to a date to be announced later.
The investiture which would be held at the Balairong Seri, Istana Besar Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah, on Thursday at 10am would proceed according to schedule. – Bernama
