Did Dr M cheat in the elections, asks pro-Najib portal

A portal supportive of Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has criticised his arch nemesis Dr Mahathir Mahathir over his remarks in an interview with the Singapore Straits Times.
In the report, the former premier said BN could be defeated in the next general election if polling is carried out in a proper manner.
"If the elections (are held) in an orderly manner, without fuss, without playing with the ballot box and so on, I think BN will lose," he had said.
Commenting on this, MyKMU.net asked if it meant Mahathir was stating that based on his experience, the elections in Malaysia could be rigged.

"Did he ever cheat to win in the elections?" it asked.
According to the portal, it is next to impossible to cheat in the elections, which are monitored by numerous NGOs both local and foreign.
At most, it added, these NGOs complained about unfair media coverage and the redelineation of parliamentary constituencies.
Furthermore, MyKMU said the Election Commission has a sterling track record, which has garnered international recognition.
"The problem with Malaysians today is that we have a former prime minister who is almost senile (hampir nyanyuk) and is supported by those who are obsessed (with him), cronies and media in search of popularity without thinking of the implications of his remarks on the nation and institutions which serve as pillars of the nation.
"Mahathir would do anything to safeguard his interests, including destroying Umno, BN and the nation.
"We pray that Mahathir and his family continue to be blessed with a long life so that they too can accept the impact of the destruction of this nation," it said.
Mahathir, 90, has repeatedly warned that BN would lose power if Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak continues to helm the ruling coalition.
The prime minister has denied the corruption allegations against him, and accused Mahathir of attempting to topple him from power. -Mkini
