'Felda settlers should reject Mahathir declaration'

Felda settlers in Kelantan are reminded not to be easily influenced by certain parties who are out to topple Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak.

Gua Musang Umno division deputy chief Nozula Mat Diah said settlers who were influenced were ungrateful and were seen as biting the hands that had fed them.

"It is strange to see that some settlers are so easily influenced by others and willing to vilify our leaders especially the prime minister who had sacrificed so much for them," he said when opening Gua Musang group branch meeting at Felda Chiku Community Hall in Gua Musang today.

At the event, about 500 Umno members who are also Felda settlers gathered to show support for the prime minister as well as the Gua Musang Umno division chief, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah's leadership.

Nozula who is also Paloh assemblyperson said the way former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad tried to unseat the BN leadership was wrong and unethical.

"Felda settlers should make their own assessment, if they support Mahathir's movement it is obvious they are working in cohorts with the opposition to cause public unrest," he said adding that Tengku Razaleigh who is also Gua Musang MP was supporting the prime minister through the Kelantan Declaration.
