After being heavily criticised in the social media, female racer Siti Fatimah Husna has come forward to defend her attire and her career choice.
She grabbed the attention during the Petronas Malaysian Cub Prix 2016 race in Teluk Intan, Perak last Saturday for donning a racing suit, compared to her normal Islamic attire.
“Who would have imagined that I am a woman? They would only know after I take off the helmet.
“So please don't criticise me for my manly action, as they don't excite anyone,” she said in a Facebook posting today.
Netizens made comments about Siti Fatimah's racing suit which is in contrast with her routine daily attire.
The 25-year-old racer is a mechanical engineer graduate who has chosen a career in motorcycle racing.
Siti Fatimah is one of the Cub Prix Petronas Yamaha racers.
Last year, she was the sole female participant at the Supermoto Malaysia championship where she became the champion in the CKD category.
A look at Siti Fatimah's Facebook account showed many followers expressing their admiration and some even praised her appearance.
