After 'flying parang' post, Nazri reiterates: Jamal doesn't represent Umno

Tourism and Culture Minister Nazri Abdul Aziz has once again said that the statements and actions made by Sungai Besar Umno chief Jamal Md Yunos do not represent Umno.
Whatever statement or stand made by Jamal are strictly in his own personal capacity, Nazri is quoted as saying by Astro Awani.
As only one of the 198 division chiefs in the party, Nazri said, it would not be fair for all division chiefs to be blamed for Jamal’s antics.
"What he does doesn’t represent us. One person cannot speak for the other 197 division chiefs. Why must it be like that when it comes to Umno?” he said.
A person, Nazri also stressed, should not violate the law.
“If you violate the law, then action must be taken. We cannot condone.
"To me, if Jamal did make the statements as reported, then they are deemed seditious and violate the Sedition Act, and action must be taken," the former law minister added.
Bersih and the red shirts, he pointed out, are the rakyat’s ways in wanting more freedom of speech but the public, he added, cannot be one-sided when it comes to championing this cause.
This is not the first time that Nazri has made such remarks when it comes to Jamal.
Responding to Jamal’s stunt after he flushed into toilet a letter of demand from Bersih chairperson Maria Chin Abdullah, Nazri also said the red shirts leader’s antics do not represent the party.

Jamal is currently under police investigation. Police said they will record his statement, on what transpired when the red shirts met with the Bersih 5 convoy in Sabak Bernam last week, after he returns from overseas.
During the incident in Sabak Bernam, one Bersih supporter was egged and kicked after coming into contact with the red shirts.
And after a Facebook post that the Bersih 5 rally will see a repeat of the 1969 race riots, Jamal said the account in which the post was made was fake.
He then accused DAP and Bersih of putting up the fake account. - Mkini
