PETALING JAYA: All transactions involving funds allegedly from 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) were done in good faith, says Habib Jewels.
Habib Jewels was responding to Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) announcement that the company was among the 41 recipients of 1MDB funds from former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's personal account.
Habib Jewels said that all transactions were done in good faith and fully documented.
"Habib Jewels Sdn Bhd would like to confirm that all of its transactions are in good faith and are supported by legitimate documentation. These include those that may be subject of investigations by the MACC.
"We would like to state that we have not been served any formal notice related to this matter.
"We would also like to hereby confirm that we have and will fully cooperate with all relevant authorities pertaining to this matter," Habib Jewels said in a statement on Friday (June 21).
MACC announced on June 21 that it had filed civil forfeiture action against 41 recipients and entities to recover RM270mil related to 1MDB.- Star
