The Home Ministry will be appointing members of the taskforce looking into the alleged enforced disappearances of Raymond Koh and Amri Che Mat tomorrow.
Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, however, did not specify how many taskforce members there will be.
"We will give them the scope of their duties (tomorrow) and we will see what report they come up with," he told the media in Putrajaya today.
A press invite to the appointment ceremony has been sent for tomorrow afternoon.
The cabinet agreed to a taskforce last month after Suhakam’s inquiry concluded that Bukit Aman’s Special Branch was responsible for the disappearance of Koh and Amri.
Muhyiddin previously said the taskforce will be given six months to complete their probe into both cases and present their findings to the cabinet.
The committee, when operational, will first scrutinise Amri's case as Koh’s disappearance, as Koh's case is subject to legal proceedings.
Lam Chang Nam, who had previously been charged with extorting Koh’s son, was in January 2018 slapped with a fresh charge of kidnapping Koh.
Little updates have surfaced about the trial since. - Mkini
