Telekom Malaysia has confirmed that it was visited by the MACC yesterday.
However, it is unclear as to the reason for the visit, other than an information gathering exercise by the graft-busters.
"TM reiterates our strong commitment to uphold integrity, governance and transparency, with zero tolerance of any improper and irregular practices on the part of our partners, contractors or our employees.
"In this regard, we can confirm that the MACC visited our TM headquarters (yesterday) to seek certain information.
"We will continue extending our cooperation to MACC as needed," the telco said in a statement yesterday.
The MACC did not respond to Malaysiakini's queries yesterday about an operation at the TM headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Further attempts for clarification are being made.
The MACC visit to TM occurred on the same day that Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin was made the telco's new CEO, managing director and executive director. - Mkini
