The Anwaristas Are Out To Get Latheefa

Have you noticed that most of the anti-Latheefa critics are the Anwaristas? Most if not all of them are PKR office holders of one sort or another.

The Parliamentary Select Committe on public appointments has kicked up a fuss. 

But the question that William Leong (another PKR fellow) has to answer is how come the PSC did not object when Dr Mahathir appointed the Chief Justice ? Or when Dr Mahathir appointed Hamid Bador as the new IGP?

To my knowledge none of these appointments went through the PSC either. 

So how now, not brown cow?

Most certainly some folks are not comfortable at all with Latheefa's appointment. They have their reasons - which may not tally with what is good or best for the country. 

We will have to wait the two years to see how Latheefa performs in her job. I hope she does her best.

But Latheefa already comes with a reputation - as a strong advocate and fighter for justice, transparency and the rule of law.  This is the reputation that precedes Latheefa Koya.

And yet this is the same reputation that these people seem to be afraid of.

Yes I know, I know you do not dissagree with her qualifications and ability to do the job. I know you ONLY disagree with the way she was appointed.

But how come you did not object when the Chief Justice and IGP were also appointed by Dr Mahathir? 

Dont waste time ok. Let Latheefa get on with her job.
