Avdiivka Falls, Ukraine Troops Routed

 The war in Ukraine has been over for some time. The Russians are not advancing aggressively anymore. The Russians are quite happy with the four liberated areas of the Donbass which they already secured now three years ago. The whole of last year was centered around Bakhmut.  A grinding war of attrition with the Russians just sitting at one place and taking out battalions of Ukrainian troops. 

Since late last year it has been about Avdiivka (Avdeyeevka)another town which has been made a focus of the Russian Ukrainian tug of war. It has been reported since yesterday that Ukrainian forces have been completely routed from Avdiivka.

Then there is also a shorter five minute report by CBS News which is quite unusual because the American mainstream media does NOT report Russian gains or Ukraine's losses.

 

 

 

Colonel Douglas MacGregor has been saying for a long time now that the war is practically over.

In Avdiivka the Russians just waited and mowed down the Ukrainian forces until they ran out of soldiers, tanks, artillery, weapons and ammunition. Ukrainian soldiers have surrendered to the Russians by the platoons in Avdiivka.

After the fall of Avdiivka did the Russians surge forward? No. They are still holding the frontlines. Edging forward very little at a time.

The Ukraine Army is almost completely destroyed but the Russians are not interested in taking all of Ukraine. The Russians have certainly excluded capturing Kiev and it looks like they may not even be interested in capturing Odessa - Ukraine's main port on the Black Sea. 

Ever since Mr Putin made it plain to Tucker Carlson that he would like to negotiate an end to the war the stock markets around the world have reacted positively.

The money boys on Wall Street and in the City of London have to see the futility of this war on their bank accounts. That moment is arriving very soon.
