SHAH ALAM: The remains of Kuala Kubu Baharu state assemblyman Lee Kee Hiong is expected to be cremated at the Nirvana Crematorium in Shah Alam, Section 21, here on Monday morning.
Selangor DAP secretary Ng Sze Han said before the cremation, family members and friends are expected to gather at the Kuala Lumpur Nirvana Centre at 9.30am before the cortege leaves to the Nirvana Crematorium in Shah Alam for the cremation.
"We, from the Selangor DAP wish to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the late Lee,” said Ng when contacted by Bernama.
Ng is heading the committee to handle the funeral services of the three-term Kuala Kubu Baharu assemblyman Lee Kee Hiong who passed away on Thursday (March 21) morning due to an illness.
Wake services were held at the Nirwana Centre in Kuala Lumpur (Nirwana 2) for three days, from March 22, to allow everyone to pay their last respects.
Meanwhile, Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari through the X application said he had paid his last respects to the late Lee.
"I wish to offer my condolences for the passing of Lee. I would also like to offer my condolences to her comrades in DAP for her demise. Her services and contributions in Kuala Kubu Baharu will continue to be remembered and her good work continued,” he said.
Lee, 58, who held the Kuala Kubu Baharu seat since 2013, has been battling cancer for the past few years. - Bernama
