Muda will meet today to finalise whether to join the roadshow organised by Perikatan Nasional.
According to Muda acting president Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz, she and the party's sole representative in the Dewan Rakyat, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, were both unaware of the roadshow beforehand.
"It's a fair concern from the grassroots (in expressing) unhappiness over the matter.
"Syed Saddiq and I were both caught by surprise when (PN chairperson) Muhyiddin Yassin made the announcement (of Syed Saddiq joining the roadshow)," Amira (above) told reporters after attending a forum titled "The Pursuit Of Truth: An Insight Into Exposing Corruption" in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Last week, Muhyiddin announced that PN would embark on a tour across the country to explain current affairs to the public after the fasting month and that Syed Saddiq would be part of it.
Following this, the youth-based party's secretary-general Amir Hariri Abd Hadi distanced the party from the matter, saying it was not discussed in the central leadership committee.
Syed Saddiq later justified his participation, saying that attending the roadshow does not mean he supports the opposition coalition.
Amira reiterated that Muda is only engaged with PSM, specifically to raise issues concerning people across religions, races and skin colours.
