Rafizi Ramli has issued a scathing riposte to social media influencer Lim Sian See after the latter had questioned why the economy minister was “delaying” in fixing a podcast meeting between the two.
Rafizi pointed out that he had only had spinal surgery two weeks ago and Lim should not be so “entitled”.
“This Lim Sian See is a bit entitled. He is the most important person in this world because he was an important person in Najib (Abdul Razak’s) camp.
“I’ve only had spinal surgery two weeks ago but it doesn’t matter, as long as I have to treat him because he is the most important person in this world,” said Rafizi in a post on social media platform X.
Lim Sian See is believed to be a social media alias used by an individual who was part of BN strategic communications when Najib was prime minister in the run-up to the 2018 elections.
“My MC after my spinal operation was until March 1. There are many things to catch up on this week.
“Next week is Ramadan - at night people pray terawih, not podcast with LSS.
“Wait until after Ramadan and after other more urgent matters,” added Rafizi.
He was responding to a report by Free Malaysia Today in which Lim said he was still waiting for Rafizi’s camp to arrange for his appearance on the economy minister’s podcast.
“What is holding him up? I have lots to discuss with him face-to-face and I guarantee that many will find the live session very interesting,” he reportedly said.
Behind the name
On Feb 19, Rafizi said that he was ready to face former prime minister Najib’s representatives in his “Yang Bakar Menteri” (YBM) podcast.
The PKR lawmaker said he was also prepared to expose the identity of Najib’s main propagandist.
However, Rafizi (above) said he will need to get Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s views first before proceeding with the idea.
“I am open to meeting with them (Najib’s camp) face to face on the podcast after I receive feedback from Anwar and Zahid. I respect their (PM and DPM’s) views for the sake of maintaining the integrity of the Madani government.
“If they (Anwar and Zahid) don’t have any objections, I will be glad to reveal the true face of the character who has been running the propaganda campaign defending 1MDB all this time, who is hiding behind the name of Lim Sian See,” he said on Facebook.
In response to Rafizi’s statement, Lim said then that there was no need for Rafizi to get Anwar’s and Zahid’s approval before exchanging opinions with him
