Kelantan has second highest increase in PKR members, Saifuddin says

 

Kelantan recorded the second-highest increase in new PKR members, party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail said.

Citing data as of March 21, Saifuddin said the PAS-held state recorded an increase of 2,027 new members since June 24 last year, bringing the total in the state to 60,356.

“There were an additional 16,529 new PKR members nationwide in the duration of nine months.

“The surge in new members in Kelantan is one of the highest in the country, second only to Selangor, with 5,770 new members,” he said during his speech at PKR’s 25th anniversary special convention held at the Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam today.

He also noted that Selangor remains the state with the highest number of PKR members, with 344,386.

This, he said, is followed by Sabah (185,004) and Sarawak (86,315).

As a whole, Saifuddin said the Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim-led party recorded a total of 1,153,212 members as of March this year. - Mkini
