KOTA KINABALU: Sabah is set to become the first state with its own VAR (video assistant referee) system for Malaysian League matches at Likas stadium after June.
Malaysian Football League CEO Stuart Ramalingam said training, management and technical processes for the Goal VAR system were in progress.
He said M-League matches currently use the EVS mobile van system for VAR in matches in the peninsula and at Likas stadium here. However, after June, Likas stadium will switch to the goal system.
Referee training would be conducted in June, September, and October, he said, with the aim of having the goal system used in the M-League this year. - FMT
