PETALING JAYA: Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has appointed Nungsari Ahmad Radhi as its non-independent non-executive chairman effective today.
In a statement, MAHB said the former Malaysian Aviation Commission commissioner and executive chairman will be bringing his vast experience in the aviation industry to the company.
“Nungsari is also an economist who is currently an independent non-executive member of the board of Bank Negara Malaysia and a member of the policy advisory committee to the prime minister and the national economic action council.
“He is a trustee of Khazanah Research Institute and Yayasan Rahimah Yusof, a private charitable foundation, as well as a board member of Koperasi Tunas Muda Sungai Ara,” the board said.
Additionally, MAHB said Nungsari has held executive positions in various Finance Minister Incorporated companies – Prokhas Sdn Bhd, Pengurusan Danaharta Nasional Bhd, DanaInfra Nasional Bhd and Syarikat Jaminan Pembiayaan Perniagaan.
Meanwhile, former chairman Zainun Ali has been appointed as MAHB’s non-independent non-executive director.
“The group and its board of directors would like to express its appreciation and gratitude to Zainun for her invaluable contributions and extend its heartiest welcome to Nungsari as the group’s new chairman,” MAHB said. - FMT
