The Iranian president's crashed helicopter has still not been found. Iran is 4 1/2 hours behind us.
The area is mountainous, strewn with large boulders, is foggy and there is still snow on the mountains.
The area of the crash is in eastern Azerbaijan state inside Iran, near the villages or Pir Davood, Uzi and the copper mines at Sungun.
Besides the president of Iran Ibrahim Raisi, their foreign minister Amir Hossein Abdullahian, one ayatollah and the governor of eastern Azerbaijan state were also in the crash.
There is a theory that Qassim Soleimani was killed (in Baghdad in 2020) as a result of a power struggle inside Iran. Soleimani was getting too powerful and was considered a possible future president. Of course he had enemies inside Iran.
The day he was killed Soleimani's exact travel itinerary was "made known" to the Americans. The Americans knew in detail that Soleimani would leave his aircraft at Baghdad airport and board an SUV. Their Ninja missile hit Soleimani's SUV just after the vehicle was clear of the airport terminal. That amount of detailed intelligence must come from a source inside Soleimani's circle. He was taken out.
The Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei - who is multiple times more powerful than the president - has already announced that president Ibrahim Raisi would replace him as Supreme Leader of Iran. That is a "job for life" and is the most powerful position in Iran. In a psycho country like Iran there is no way the president has no enemies from inside their power circles. It is not impossible that they conspired to get rid of Raisi - the future Supreme Leader for life.
