Murugiah crowned purported President of PPP at an illegal EGM
Datuk T Murugiah, whose term as a Senator and Deputy Minister which ended yesterday knew what was coming. It was reported that Murugiah had 'promised' a crowd of 200,000 people will join the MIC if he was accepted as an MIC member and leader. Reports indicate that Murugiah had failed to keep his so-called promise.
But, Murugiah's Senatorship and Deputy Minister's post were given when he was nominated by the PPP. He was then the PPP party's Youth Chief.
Due to the kindness of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, his positions were made to remain until it expired although he was 'sacked' by the PPP.
Looking back at history, PPP itself had been faced by numerous crisis and at one time there were many 'impostors' who joined but due to 'fabrications' got themselves recognised by the Registrar of Societies and the Barisan Nasional. These 'impostors' got all the windfall at the expense of the legitimate members. PPP failed to retain any seat at the last general election, and it is predicted that it would face the same fate in the coming 13 GE.
Not forgetting a remark from a top BN leader - The BN will continue to win elections and BN will continue to survive even without PPP. This speaks for itself.
