Christians await Hasan Ali's bombshell video: Another political gimmick expected

Wherever Hasan Ali goes it is a merry-go-round, not only for him but for all those around him especially so to the Christians. Come Monday next week, Malaysians will be waiting with bated breath for the video promised by Hasan Ali, that will show Christians trying to convert Muslims.

“I have promised to reveal a video on it. On Monday, you can see it for yourself,” he told a press conference a day ago.

According to him there will be a video of a Malay husband and wife team confessing of being baptized and converted to Christianity, did he say one Malay couple or thousands of Malay couples? If it is one, then he doesn't know the difference between one and a thousand . If my memory serves me right, he said sometime ago during the height of the Damansara Utama Methodist Centre raid that thousands of Muslims were being converted by Christian churches, and to top it they were even using high-tech devices such as solar-powered bibles in their proselytizing efforts.

Why did it take so long?

And now, he says he has video evidence of only one couple - why did it take him so long to provide this evidence? Did it take so much time to coerce the couple to admit their 'sin', or this is another case of fabricated evidence ala Umno style? If it really took him this long for him to provide one couple , imagine how long it will take for him to produce one thousand Muslims as evidence, it will take him at least 10 lifetimes to produce it, and he won't be around to see to it.

This alone proves that the problem of proselytizing is not widespread and it is not a problem at all, unlike how Hassan Ali wants to paint it. Why this obsession on Christians converting Muslims? Well to stay relevant in politics, you must have an agenda. You see, the fight for Malay supremacy has already been by Ibrahim Ali and Perkasa. All other Malay agenda is taken care of by UMNO and the Prime Minister, so the only dubious thing left for him to protect the Malays from are the Christians. What other better way then instilling this fear of proselytizing into God-fearing Malays?

Really stooping low

Are the people really fooled? After all the commotion 7 months ago on the JAIS raid on the DUMC, which we now know he played a dark hand in spearheading, the people are more aware of what Hasan Ali is capable of doing. It is a pity that he has to stoop so low to protect his self-proclaimed agenda of protecting the Muslims from being converted by Christians.

God-fearing Muslims will know it is not easy for people to convince them to leave their faith and embrace Christianity in an instant. There will always be some remote cases of proselytizing here and there - and not just Christians imposing themselves on Muslmis but also Muslims trying to convince Christians into embracing Islam. Why? Over-zealousness is one reason. Love for the religion is another. But here in Malaysia, where the laws are very strict against any faith trying to convert the Muslims, the incidence will surely be very low indeed.

And by the way what is one couple compared to 18 million Muslims in Malaysia ' is this relevant? Does it justify Hasan Ali's existence or a multi-million ringgit anti-Christian movement that eventually achieves nothing but humiliation for the Christians, who mind you, form 10% of the country's 28 million population and are entitled to their rights as listed in the Federal Constitution.

Out of a job and in search of an agenda and a seat to contest

Now, Hasan Ali who is out of a job - having been sacked from PAS and the Selangor executive council - is moon shining as a savior of the Malays with his newly-formed NGO, JATI, which will be funded by we all know whom. Hasan is banking on JATI to give him a much-needed lifeline on politics.

Through this NGO, he is hoping that Umno will give him a seat to contest in the coming 13th general election. But with Prime Minister Najib Razak, the Umno president, already inundated by requests for seats to contest from senior Umno members themselves, what chance can Hasan have?

For Najib and Umno, they don't mind giving Hasan money to stir up trouble for the opposition and to help keep the Malays herded at their side. But it would be hard to justify giving him - an expelled PAS wannabe Mentri Besar with little grassroots support of his own - one of Umno's own precious seats.

Perhaps, this explains the JATI shenanigan to stay relevant to Najib and Umno. He may be able to fool them but not the voters of GE-13. Malaysians have had enough of all the FROGS who disrespected and disappointed the voters of GE-12 with their party-hopping ways. NO FROG IS GONNA WIN IN GE-13!

So Hasan Ali did you really spend RM 300,000 to renovate your office? Was that very Islamic? What happened to all your motivational talks on morals and principled lifestyles, are they only bullshit? Some kind of Motivational Speaker who doesn't know how to manage or to balance his own priorities!
