Seriously. Prime Minister Najib would not be able as hoped his Barisan Nasional (BN) will win the elections with a majority of two-thirds at the forthcoming GE13.
According to official figures as at 30 September, BN can only win between 115 to 125 seats if elections were held within two months from that date.
To get two-thirds majority BN requires at least 148 seats, now it seems very impossible.
Though Najib knows that it would destroy his political future, but he does not have much choice either.
BN must be saved at any cost and must continue to administer Malaysia.
Najib's aspiration, if the 1Malaysia People's Aid 2.0 (BR1M 2) of RM500 is distributed sometime in January 2013, Najib is of the feeling that he will be able to garner a few more extra seats and with the anticipated "crossover" of elected MP from Opposition and Independent members, Najib claims that BN will retain power.
Taking these into consideration, Najib now targets within 130 to 135 seats.
For UMNO/BN this is already good enough with the current uncertain political climate.
