Hot on the heels of a world ranking of universities last month, comes yet another one.
In the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings released on Thursday morning, the National University of Singapore (NUS) was placed 29, up from 40 last year.
But it was the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) which saw a dramatic leap in the rankings, going up 83 places from position 169 last year to 86 this year.
Calling it an “absolutely fantastic year for Singapore universities”, Mr Phil Baty, editor of THE World University Rankings said: “NUS is right up there in the top 30 and NTU’s improvement is one of the most spectacular.”
