Recently, Umno vice president and defence minister "Dr" Ahmad Zahid Hamidi had outlined the newest formula for Penang Umno together with other Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties, such as MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP in order to recapture Penang in the next general election which is expected to be called next year.
The formula, according to Zahid would be based on 3-3-3-1, which means, Umno which currently already had 11 seats would work on to add another 3 seats, while both MCA and Gerakan would strive for 3 seats each, MIC would go for only 1 seat and PPP would get nothing in the end.
Such proposal forwarded by an Umno leader demonstrates their arrogance and "ketuanan" towards the other BN component parties which they had all along regarded them as subservient. The arrogance in Umno is still there.
It is clear that Umno is demonstrating their arrogance to MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP by putting up the 3-3-3-1 formula. When some MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP leaders were asked about this formula to recapture Penang from Pakatan Rakyat, none of these BN component parties leaders were aware of such arrangement.
What is understood that the current Penang state BN chairmanship is being held by Gerakan secretary-general Teng Chang Yeow. With Umno's 3-3-3-1 formula for all Penang BN component parties to follow, it looks like an indirect attempt as shown by Umno to wrest the state BN chairmanship from Gerakan. In this case, should BN were to successfully recapture Penang via Umno's 3-3-3-1 formula, Umno would then wrest the chief minister's position from Gerakan as well.
Umno's 3-3-3-1 formula had also made Gerakan's Teng in an embarrassing position. Until today, Teng had failed to confirm if he accepts 3-3-3-1 formula which was forwarded by Umno. When asked about this, Teng had avoided answering directly onto the subject and keeps on saying that Penang BN is currently "strong, intact and united". If the state BN is really that "strong, intact and united", then why is Umno still showing off its arrogance and "ketuanan" onto the other BN component parties?
While Umno is always trying to play a "good looking" face in front of MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP, they had eventually subcontracted their dirty works, such as racism, supremacy, Jewish conspiracy, hate and violence to an extremist NGO called Perkasa in order to regain support from the Malay community at large, then delegating PCM to split up votes for MCA and Gerakan, while MSP, MIUP, IPF and Kimma would then split the votes for MIC and PPP.
We are all very certain that leaders of MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP knew very well of Perkasa's close connections with Umno and Umno's backing for PCM, MSP, MIUP, IPF and Kimma. Did all these MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP leaders merely close one eye onto what Perkasa has been doing for Umno as well as the other "BN friendly" parties? Yes, they are closing one eye simply because they wanted to remain in power. In order to remain in power, they must remain in the BN coalition, and in order to do that, these BN component parties must continue to be subservient to Umno, even if it is to the extend of sacrificing the dignity of their parties.
What about the communities, which MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP has always claimed to be representing? Because of their subservient to Umno, these BN component parties are never representing any communities at all.
In this case, why should we vote for MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP? We shouldn't give them anymore chance come the 13th general elections. Umno has already effectively killed MCA, MIC, Gerakan and PPP since from the beginning.
