As in every run-up to a General Election, we find various persons rushing in to sing BN’s praises. Most times they are persons who have some interest in BN’s success or hope to derive some benefit from that, but it is only to be expected that they are not going to tell us that. Or it may be that they are returning favours that have been done for them and hoping for yet more. Either way their objectivity in making such statements is tainted.
On 31st January, Malaysiakini  reported that veteran UMNO leader. Abdullah Ahmad, said that UMNO under Najib is now less arrogant and thus more “electable (sic) to the Malays’ electorate”.
Dollah
He added:
“Najib’s leadership shows no sign of coming to an end, and Umno shows no sign of diminishing.
“Najib is not going to be the last Umno prime minister,” he stressed.
He also said that the 2008 general election losses were because people were deeply disappointed with Abdullah Ahmad Badawi’s inept leadership but that Najib is now doing a decent job.
Hello Dollah, where have you been? Decent job, you say?
They say a picture speaks a thousand words, Dollah.
Now pray tell us what did Najib do when this happened, Dollah?
Now pray tell us what did Najib do when this happened, Dollah?
UtusanOr this, Dollah? What did he do when his party-owned newspaper lied and published seditious remarks?
Utusan
Or this, Dollah? What did he do when his party-owned newspaper lied and published seditious remarks?
And this! Was not this the reaction, so to speak, of the Mentri Besar of his own home state to his people?
And this! Was not this the reaction, so to speak, of the Mentri Besar of his own home state to his people?
Or this Dollah? To unarmed citizens of this country!
Or this Dollah? To unarmed citizens of this country!
And he did this to our young, Dollah?
And he did this to our young, Dollah?
Listen, Dollah. We know you were once political secretary to Najib’s dad, our second Prime Minister, Tun Abdul Razak. Heck! You even make it a point to remind everyone of this at every opportunity. We know too you have close ties with some family members of the Razak family, including Najib.
So please, Dollah, do not try to patronize us, huh?
Were you not also the one who first coined “Ketuanan Melayu” in describing Malaysian politics. This is what you are reported to have said in Singapore on 30th August, 1986.
Let us make no mistake – the political system in Malaysia is founded on Malay dominance. That is the premise from which we should start. The Malays must be politically dominant in Malaysia as the Chinese are politically dominant in Singapore.”
You do see a lot of things in completely racial lines, do you not, Dollah?
We know too about your loyalty to Mahathir and how, after your godfather’s (Tun Razak’s) demise and you were detained under the ISA for 5 years after admitting (forced, you now say) on national television to being a communist, Mahathir released you barely 2 weeks on succeeding Hussein Onn as PM.  We understand, Dollah, why you remain grateful and close to Mahathir despite all the harm he has done to this country, but please do not even imagine that you can hoodwink us with this yarn about Najib doing a decent job.
Are you still repaying Mahathir for having rewarded you with that appointment as special envoy to the United Nations in 1996 and as editor-in-chief of the New Straits Times in 2000?
We know about your annoyance with Pak Lah for having removed you from your NST post after you had none too subtly lobbied for Najib to be made Deputy Prime Minister, Dollah, but to blame the losses entirely on Pak Lah for the debacle during the 12th GE is a tad unfair. Najib too contributed to it, Dollah. Anyway the loss of the NST job is no big loss. After all, your stint in NST is largely remembered for your sacking of Rehman Rashid, your sub-editor in NST, for refusing to write your speeches and to be your ghostwriter.
A ghostwriter is defined as a writer who writes books, articles, stories, reports, or other texts that are officially credited to another person.
Maybe you would like to tell us why you were unable to write your own, Dollah?
Sinar Harian lately reported that Mahathir launched your book, “Berani tanpa segan”.
Still sucking up to Mahathir, huh?
Benar
Do not even think that your words carry any weight with the rakyat, Dollah.
