That is what someone told me this morning.
First of all this is NOT an election that is going to bring any change to UMNO. That is not going to happen at all. In fact things will now go from bad to worse. The millionaires will become billionaires. The billionaires will become multi billionaires. Until the country just collapses on its knees.
If the party's new election system was heralded as a harbinger of dramatic change that has fallen completely flat on its face. There is NO change in the party line up. It is status quo.
Why go though all the trouble of having a new election system when the results are almost no different from the old system? Everyone said they wanted change. Everyone said they wanted to see new faces. But the same old toya faces have reappeared. This is definitely NOT change.
Perubahan kepala hotak apa? Semua muka-muka yang sama juga. Muka yang bulat-bulat juga. Pi mai pi mai tang tu juga. Pi mai pi mai depa juga.
And now the sharing of the loot will begin. Just mark my words. The war is over. Now is the time to split the war booty. Depa akan bagi sama depa.
The same warlords and division heads have been returned to power. Here are the news reports. All from The Star :

All the names in red were or are the old Badawi and KJ's boys. You can add or subtract to the list. There are 14 of them. The Prime Minister's boys are only Jamaludin Jarjis, Raja Nong Chik and Jamil baharom. (Again you can add or remove from the list).
Certainly the Badawi / KJ supporters dominate the MT. It is not a crime to be a Badawi supporter. Maybe just a sin. But there are no bright stars in the nite sky.
Imagine a situation where KJ becomes party president and PM and either Azeez or Reezal become the deputy president and Deputy PM.
Mukhriz made a brave effort to be a VP. Mukhriz lost to Hisham by a handful of divisions. Mukhriz has actually carried the popular vote, he won won slightly more votes than Hisham (52,000 plus with Hisham also close by). However this is an electoral college system. We have to accept the outcome.
(So I hope they will also divulge the popular votes won by Akhramsyah Muammar Ubaidah for the Ketua Pemuda challenge. Who says we do not accept the results? Dont be daft. Our concern is why keep the popular vote a secret? Thats what we are saying.)
What else does this election mean? That the age of Tun Dr Mahathir's influence in UMNO is finally over? There are no Mahathir boys in the Majlis Tertinggi and the VP slots anymore? That shall be a very sad day. If it happens that way.
