Corruption to Muslims is just like MUSIC ON THE RADIO – Mat Sabu

Muslims today are still very insensitive towards issues on corruption and government mismanagement, says PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu.

Mat Sabu said this when delivering his Aidil Adha’s sermon at Surau Kampung Baru, Tasek Gelugor yesterday.

He expressed disappointment that Malaysian Muslims continue to give support to BN government despite the rise in corruption index

"Malaysians’ habit especially the Muslims (on corruption issue) is akin to listening to new song that gets everyone excited, once it becomes old, no one cares anymore,” he chided.

To back his argument, Mat Sabu pointed to the non-reaction from Muslims on the financial misappropriation highlighted in the Auditor-General’s Report 2012 such as the missing weapons from police’s inventory and the RM1.6 million payment by Sports and Youth Ministry to bring in K-pop groups.

“By right, Muslims should care about these issues and punish the government for abusing its power,” he said.
