Dyana Sofya Mohd Daud, the political secretary to DAP supremo Lim Kit Siang, has lodged a police report over a "fake" Facebook account impersonating her.
The 25-year-old said that the profile, which was created three weeks ago under the name ‘Dyana Sofya', was interacting with more than 250 social media friends while pretending to be Dyana.
She added that she had also lodged a report with the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) over the matter.
The police report was lodged on Oct 9 at a police station in Nusajaya, Johor.
Ironically in June, UiTM vice-chancellor Sahol Hamid Abu Bakar claimed that his Twitter account was hacked when a tweet from his account criticised Dyana, an UiTM alumni as a "traitor to her race and UiTM".
Dyana first came into prominence in 2012 when her entry into DAP was announced by Lim himself.
She has said that she belongs to a family that predominantly supports and is involved in Umno politics, but that has not deterredher from joining DAP.
