MCA whacks Teresa Kok for going to DINNER intead of Parliament
DAP Teresa Kok’s challenge to MCA to boycott the Sungai Limau by-election is similar to the pot calling the kettle black. Instead of asking MCA to boycott the by-elections, she should try to convince DAP to boycott PAS. MCA has already been involved in preparations for the Sungai Limau by-elections and we will not entertain non-party members like Teresa Kok.
DAP is very well aware of PAS insistence on establishing a theocratic state and implementing their religious law, yet we still see DAP helping to campaign for PAS and covering up their weaknesses. Thus, in answer to Teresa Kok’s challenge towards MCA, I advise her to look at herself in the mirror first and see how her stand contradicts with her challenge.
A good example will be the recent warning by the Kota Baru City Council (MPKB) barring all hair salon operators from displaying posters of women who do not cover their hair. DAP had done and said nothing to counter PAS’ in this issue.
Why focus on MCA?
It is hard for me to understand why Teresa Kok is focusing so much on MCA’s participation in the coming by-election.
During the 13th General Elections, Teresa Kok had won with a majority of 51,552 votes – the highest majority among all elected representatives. However, during the recent Parliamentary session when it was time to vote on the amendments to the Prevention of Crime Act, she had decided to go for dinner instead of casting her vote. Does this mean that she cares nothing for the 51,522 voters who had given her their mandate?
If Teresa Kok can choose to attend dinner instead of Parliament, then it should be no concern of hers whether or not MCA participates in this coming by-election.
