MCA Youth chief Wee Ka Siong may not contest at all in the upcoming party polls if president Dr Chua Soi Lek breaks his promise not to defend his post.
Wee said that party integrity would be at stake if Chua does not keep his word, having said on May 6 that he will not contest the presidency.
If Chua keeps his promise, Wee said he would contest provided that he gets support from the central delegates.
Asked what post he is vying for, Wee said it is too early to decide.
Wee also squashed rumours that he had betrayed deputy president Liow Tiong Lai, by saying that he will not contest for any post that Liow is targetting.
Liow had earlier announced his intention to take on the presidency when the polls are conducted by the end of December.
