Muslims gather outside Palace of Justice for Allah ruling

As the sun started to shine at Precinct 2 in Putrajaya, Muslims from a little neighbourhood in Kuala Kedah's Taman Bersatu were the first to arrive at the Court of Appeal in a show of support for Putrajaya's appeal against the use of the word "Allah" in the Catholic weekly, the Herald.
Having spent all night travelling, they were seen busy having their breakfast of nasi lemak, packed in plastic containers.
"Yes, we did not sleep all night, we were on the bus. We came here to defend the rights of Muslims," said Mohd Asyraf Azman, a 21-year-old polytechnic student.
He added that if the decision did not go their way, they would continue to protest peacefully.
In the group were boys as young as 14, who said they followed their older brothers here, but did not particularly know why.
"We are with Perkasa," said one of them.
From as early as 8am, about 400 were already outside the court.
Perkasa Kedah chief Syed Osman Mansor (pic) said that they would abide by the court ruling.
When asked what would be their plan of action if the ruling did not go their way, he said, "We still have another avenue which is the Federal Court.”
The Kedah Perkasa chief said there would have been more Muslims from Kedah at the court today if not for the Hari Raya Haji holiday.
"Still, we managed to get 12 bus loads here. The rest already had commitments for Hari Raya Haji which they could not cancel."
He added that more buses ferrying Perkasa supporters from other states were on their way.
