Shahidan: Fake degrees just like fake designer bags
The government cannot stop people from obtaining fake university degrees, and can only act against individuals if they use such documents to support applications for jobs in the public service.
"But if they want to frame it and keep it as a memento, then it's fine. It’s like buying a fake Louis Vuitton bag made in China," said Shahidan Kassim, the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department.
He was replying Ong Kian Ming (DAP-Serdang) during Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat today.
