A former girlfriend of a Bosnian man, who accused her of using him to get his sperm so that she could have a baby with European traits, today claimed that the man threatened to kill her several times if she did not do as he said.
Chung Shun Yee, 29, in her statement of defence, which was filed yesterday, claimed that Ervin Ahbabovic, 41, abused her and threatened to kill her family members if she did not do as told.
She claimed that Ahbabovic also threatened to expose her personal pictures and videos to her friends to tarnish her image as a businesswoman.
She said the allegation made by Ahbabovic that she was only using him to get his sperm was immoral and against the law.
She is seeking damages of RM200,000 for loss of business, compensation of RM120,000, general and exemplary damages, as well as other relief deemed fit by the court.
In the suit filed on August 30, Ahbabovic, who is seeking RM600,000 in damages from Chung, claimed that she had used him to get his sperm to produce a baby with European traits.
In the statement of claim, Ahbabovic, who has a Malaysian permanent resident status, stated that his relationship with the defendant began in 2008 and in 2010, they had a son.
He said he was hoping for the relationship with the defendant to progress towards marriage, but claimed that she changed after the birth of their son by always finding fault with him.
Ahbabovic claimed that the defendant also became violent and had stabbed him on the left arm during an incident on September 3 last year.
He claimed that he was also evicted from the house and not allowed to see their son.
He said the defendant's action had caused him to suffer serious emotional and mental stress.
Ahbabovic claimed that he contacted the defendant to patch up for the sake of their son, but the woman remarked that she was only using him to satisfy her sexual lust, as well as to get his sperm so that she could have an offspring with European genetics.
He said he felt insulted and betrayed after knowing that the defendant was using him to only get his sperm.
Besides seeking RM600,000 in damages, Ahbabovic is also asking to be recognised as the father in the birth certificate of their son.
Meanwhile, Chung's lawyer, James Ee Kah Fuk, when met by reporters, said Civil Sessions Court judge Rohani Ismail had set October 30 for case management when the case came up for mention in chambers today. - Bernama
