Big Goebbels-style liars run Umno, BN

Tony Pua says leaders have no ethics, morals or scruples and practise what the Nazi German propaganda machine preached.
Tony Pua_Sabri Yaakob_ahmad zahid hamidi_300KUALA LUMPUR: Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Home Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and many other top Barisan Nasional (BN) and Umno leaders, according to Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua, are all cut from the same cloth i.e. they are pathological liars.
They have no ethics, morals or scruples and believe and practice what the Nazi German politician and Reich Minister of Propaganda in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945 Dr. Joseph Goebbels preached on the “Big Lie” i.e. that “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it”.
It thus becomes vitally important for such a State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, added Pua who is also the DAP National Publicity Secretary, “for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of such a State”.
BN/Umno Ministers and leaders are certainly suffering from the “Big Lie” syndrome, pointed out Pua. “BN/Umno leaders suffer from the Van Goebbels dictum of lying so much, they actually believe in their own malicious lies.”
BN/Umno leaders, he alleged, have initiated the malicious lies in cyberspace to achieve their political ends by poisoning the minds of the Malay community against other ethnic communities.
This is the background, fumes Pua, to the latest unbelievable racist rant from Ismail Sabri in pinning blame for price hikes on Chinese traders. “BN/Umno leaders and their cohorts lie so much in public and in social media to victimise their political opponents.”
Ismail Sabri has been preceded by many other similar cases, recalled Pua.
Zahid, for example, had during a press conference, openly accused Pua of being charged in Court for a criminal offence in Singapore. He claimed that he had documentary evidence that not only was Pua charged, he was only able to release himself from such charges after cutting a deal with the Singapore Government: not seeking to become a Member of Parliament in Singapore but instead returning to Malaysia to do the Singapore Government’s bidding.
“Such incredible tall tales came direct from the Minister’s mouth after such allegations started surfacing on the World Wide Web,” said Pua. “I sued the Minister and Utusan Malaysia for defamation.”
“Zahid Hamidi had to retract his allegations, which had utterly no basis, in open court and pay costs for the suit in a settlement last August.”
Measures to tackle price hikes should be implemented across the board, stressed Pua, “and not by recklessly inciting hatred between races”.
