Malaysian troops on Sunday arrived at Saudi Royal Air Force base to participate in the Saudi-led coalition to support the legitimacy in Yemen under Operation Restoring Hope.
Malaysia has become the 12th country to join the coalition after Senegal which is sending 2,100 troops to fight the Houthis and the forces loyal to former President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
The Ministry of Defense explained that the coalition’s operations center is preparing for incorporating the Malaysian and Senegalese forces into the ranks and determining the nature of tasks assigned to them."

Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Interior Mohammed bin Naif received Tuesday the commander of the Malaysian Army in Riyadh, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
During the meeting, the commander of the army stressed Malaysia’s support for the Saudi-led “Decisive Storm” operation to protect the Yemeni people and their legitimate president.
Tan Raja ?? also reiterated Malaysia’s support to all the measures taken by the Kingdom to guarantee security and stability in the GCC and the region.
The meeting between the two officials was attended by Abdurrahman Al-Rebiaan, Deputy Minister of Interior.

My comments : Firstly they cannot even write the Army Chief's name correctly. What is Tan Raja?
In the April 1st meeting the Pak Arab Minister is Crown Prince Naif. In the May 11 picture, the Minister is Salman. Sudah tukar. Small power struggle inside the Saudi gomen.
Secondly this has been going on for some time. The Army Chief was already in Riyadh on 1st April, 2015 where he told the Pak Arab :
- stressed Malaysia’s support for the Saudi-led “Decisive Storm”
- reiterated Malaysia’s support to all the measures taken by the Kingdom
Why must Malaysia support the Saudi aggression against the Houthi aggression? This is NOT our fight. Why should we get involved?
Remember folks my earlier Blog 'Jangan Masuk Campur"? I had a feeling that something like this would happen.
How can we send our troops to fight in foreign lands without some kind of Parliamentary debate and approval?
Isnt there something in our Federal Constitution that prevents the gomen from sending our troops overseas without Parliamentary approval? (If not, we must amend our Constitution.)
How many troops have we sent over and what will be their role?
Because the news report up above (dated May 11, 2015 ie today) says that :

So it is up to the Pak Arab to command our troops !!
Our troops will be incorporated with Senegalese troops ??
And here is the real shocker : into the ranks and determining the nature of tasks assigned to them."
So the tasks are yet to be determined ?? The fate of our army boys is yet to be determined by the Pak Arab??
Why should Malaysian troops be sent to one screwed up Arab country to help them kill Arabs in another screwed up Arab country?
I hope the Press will seek out Defense Minister Hishamuddin Hussein and ask him to explain this in some detail.
How many troops have we sent to Saudi Arabia and what is the nature of their mission?
We cannot place our troops under the command of screwed up Arabs. Or screwed up Pakistani mercenaries (who are fighting for the Saudis as well).
If our troops are there in a "support role" only, what does that mean? Guard duty?
If our boys are there to help evacuate Malaysians, why the secrecy? Why no media coverage? Most foreigners have already left the country. Indians, Pakistanis, Japanese, Filipinos, other Asians have all left Yemen. Malaysians too.
So this 'to help evacuate people' does not sound right.
This is not right at all.
