(FMT) – Former premier Mahathir Mohamad and his pro-BN clique within the anti-Najib movement are determined to get the Prime Minister removed before Bank Negara Governor Zeti Akhtar Aziz resigns this month, according to controversial blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.

This is because they think they can depend on Zeti to get Najib arrested, he says in a recent blog posting.

He claims to have been informed that veteran newsman A Kadir Jasin, who is known to be close to Mahathir, has told his friends that April is the final month for Najib.

Raja Petra’s posting seeks to explain the apparent rush in wanting to remove Najib, noting that this would be at odds with the opposition parties’ belief that BN will lose in the coming general election if the Prime Minister remains in office till then.

The reason, he says, is that the Mahathir clique does not want BN to lose in the election.

“Mahathir is not working with the opposition,” he says. “He is just using the opposition to oust Najib. And the opposition thinks it is using Mahathir instead to kick out Barisan Nasional and Umno.”

He alleges that Bank Negara is the prime suspect in police investigations to determine who gave the Wall Street Journal documents related to the probe on the RM2.6 billion donation to Najib.

“Someone or some people in Bank Negara gave WSJ fake documents in or around June last year, and last month gave it another set of different documents,” he writes. “And someone or some people are going to go to jail for this.”
