Better for Malaysia not to host Fifa Congress, says Zahid

Malaysia stripped of hosting Fifa Congress
(FAM) could not guarantee visas to (Israeli) delegates

risks in allowing certain countries to attend said Zahid
Malaysia's inability to guarantee visas to delegates from Israel
policy of not accepting countries without any diplomatic ties.

placing flag (Israel) on table during congress
we understand sensitivity of people in country
better for Malaysia to avoid playing host,” he told reporters

My comments :  Then how come the Israeli cricket team came to Malaysia when Dr Mahathir was PM?

This also means Malaysia will never be able to host the Olympics because the Israelis also participate in the Olympics.

Or the FIFA World Cup.  (Then how come Qatar is hosting the FIFA World Cup?)  Pak Arab tak peduli ke pasal Israel?

What if an Israeli team turns up at the F1 Formula races? If we deny them visas, they may strip Malaysia from hosting the F1 races. Has anyone thought about that?

Here is something from The Atlantic Monthly :

Israel and Saudi Arabia don’t have diplomatic relations and never have, but on Thursday, the two countries revealed at an event at the Council on Foreign Relations in Washington that they’ve been covertly conducting diplomacy to discuss Iran over a series of five meetings since 2014

The reveal (sic) came from Anwar Eshki, a former Saudi general and ambassador to the U.S., and Dore Gold, a former Israeli ambassador to the UN.

So Saudi Arabia and Israel have been "talking" to each other.

The Israelis have also been "talking" to Yemen.

Egypt, Jordan and Turkey have diplomatic relations with Israel.  (Ini untuk brader-brader yang suka cium bontot Erdogan.)

There is more :

  • Since the 1980s, Saudi officialdom has demonstrated a relatively conciliatory stance towards Israel.
  •
  • press reported secret meetings between Israeli and Saudi officials in 2006-2007..
  •
  • In 2008 Olmert offered to include Saudis in a committee of religious leaders administering Jerusalem’s holy sites.

The Sunday Times has several stories of Saudi-Israeli defense cooperation since the Iranian threat has grown.
  •
  • Saudis agreed to let Israel attack Iran via its airspace
  •
  • In May 2013, it reported that a defense agreement was in the works between Israel, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, including the sharing of radar station and missile defense information.
  •
  • Israel’s Channel Two reported that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was supervising “intensive meetings” with prominent Gulf officials, one of whom who had even visited Israel.
  •
  • In November, the Sunday Times reporting Saudi Arabia would cooperate in the use of refueling planes, rescue helicopters, and drones.
  •
  • An Israeli minister told Buzzfeed that it was Saudi Arabia that informed Israel about the secret US-Iran nuclear talks that preceded the Geneva agreement.

The Israeli leadership has recently made several statements expressing the common interests between Israel and the Sunni countries of the region.
  •
  • The most overlooked pro-Saudi reference was a few lines in Netanyahu’s speech at the UN in early October, when he expressed his hope that Israel would build relationships with Arab countries equally threatened by Iran.

Conclusion :  Do not depend on the Arab - Israeli politics to get votes from the kampong people and the Felda people.

Imagine a situation where Netanyahu visits Saudi Arabia.

Or the Saudi royal family has to seek asylum and safety inside Israel?

In the Middle East and with Arab politics, these type of wild horse scenarios are not impossible.
