ALOR STAR: Caretaker Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor is reportedly not in Kedah and has instead departed for Kuala Lumpur to attend official matters today.
His press secretary Muhamad Mat Yakim confirmed that Sanusi was only expected to return to Kedah by tomorrow evening.
"The MB is not in Kedah today. Earlier, he was in Kuala Lumpur. He will only return (to Kedah) tomorrow evening.
"I can't ask him about this matter yet," he said when contacted.
Attempts had been made by the New Straits Times to contact the Perikatan Nasional election director via his personal WhatsApp, however Sanusi has only left the texts on read.
Meanwhile, checks at Wisma Darul Aman and his official residence in Seri Mentaloon this evening found that no gathering had taken place.
Earlier today, it was reported that Sanusi will face two charges in court tomorrow morning following his alleged remarks questioning the credibility of the Selangor Royal Institution in the appointment of its Menteri Besar.
