
SUNGAI BULOH: The government through Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) today announced RM50 million in allocation aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs among the Indian community.
Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk R. Ramanan said the allocation is expected to benefit 7,100 new Sahabat India entrepreneurs and existing 3,100 entrepreneurs among the Indian community.
"This means 10,200 Sahabat Usahawan India entrepreneurs will benefit from this special allocation.
"Entrepreneurs can start to apply for the allocation starting April 15 at 124 AIM branches nationwide," he said in his speech at the announcement ceremony of the special allocation for Sahabat Usahawan India at Bandar Sri Damansara near here today.
Among those present included AIM Board of Trustees chairman Datuk Seri Syed Hussain Syed Junid. - NST
