Over 10 vehicles involved in Federal Highway pile-up

 

Screenshots from a video clip shared by Astro Radio Traffic showed some of the vehicles involved in the crash.

PETALING JAYA: Over 10 cars and a garbage disposal truck were involved in a massive accident on the Federal Highway this afternoon.

According to a posting on X by Astro Radio Traffic, the incident near i-City caused a traffic jam for those heading from UiTM Shah Alam towards Klang.

It said the accident had blocked the left and middle lanes of the Federal Highway.

The traffic information account also shared a video showing the aftermath of the multiple-vehicle collision, with debris scattered on the road.

However, there is no information on whether anyone is injured in the pile-up.

Plus Malaysia Bhd had earlier projected a surge in traffic volume during the days leading up to and following Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

It was estimated that approximately 2.1 million vehicles per day will use the North-South Expressway during this period, compared to the usual 1.82 million during regular peak hours. - FMT
