AIR Selangor will deploy 182 water tankers, 87 mobile and 95 static, in affected areas during the scheduled water disruption in the Klang Valley from June 5 to 7.
Mobile tankers will be sent to Petaling (20), Klang (19), Gombak (18) and Kuala Lumpur (16). Meanwhile, Hulu Selangor and Shah Alam will each receive three tankers, while eight will be sent to Kuala Selangor.
“A total of 95 static tankers will be deployed at high-rise locations in affected areas,” an Air Selangor spokesperson told StarMetro.
Local service centres (PKS) with static tankers will be available in Petaling, Klang, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Selangor.
In Petaling, they will be located in Section 17, Section 7, Subang Bestari and Taman Tun Dr Ismail.
In Klang the sites are Bandar Parkland, Masjid Kg Perepat and Persiaran Raja Muda.
Gombak static tankers will be in AU3 Keramat and Section 2 Wangsa Maju
Kuala Lumpur will have static tankers at Masjid Wilayah and Jalan Jelawi in Bangsar.
Finally, in the Kuala Selangor district, the tankers will be situated at Dataran KFC Puncak Alam and Stadium Tertutup Kuala Selangor.
Association of Water and Energy Research Malaysia (AWER) president S. Piarapakaran advised residents and business owners to store sufficient water.
"Areas that face low water pressure will be the most affected.
"Consumers can direct complaints to the National Water Services Commission (Span) if Air Selangor fails to address any shortcomings.”
It was previously reported that seven areas across Klang Valley would experience the water cut as Air Selangor needs maintenance and replacement work. - Star
