
KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has demolished 60 illegal structures built on government land near Jalan Murai off Jalan Ipoh here.
The operation was carried out yesterday with DBKL assisting the Kuala Lumpur Land and Mines Office in enforcing the demolition.
In a statement, DBKL said that the structures were demolished after the Kuala Lumpur Land and Mines Office issued a site evacuation notice dated Aug 18.
The action was taken under Section 426A of the National Land Code 1965.
The operation also involved the police, Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department, Air Selangor, Tenaga Nasional Bhd and the Federal Territories Department.
DBKL said enforcement and monitoring would continue from time to time. - NST
