IPOH, Feb 25 — Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir today declined comment on an allegation by Perak PAS Youth that a state executive councillor was under investigation by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC).
"Later. I do not want to answer (now). They are playing the game first. Let them. I will issue a statement later. I have just got back," he said when approached after he had flagged off an Umno Youth motoring convoy headed for the by-election campaign in Merlimau, Malacca, and Kerdau, Pahang, at his official residence here.
Zambry (picture) has been away from Perak as he had joined a government delegation to Turkey and then attended the meeting of the Conference of Rulers in Kuala Lumpur.
Perak PAS Youth issued a statement yesterday alleging that a state executive councillor was under investigation by the MACC.
It demanded verification and an explanation from Zambry, saying that if it was true, then the state executive councillor should be relieved of official duties to facilitate the probe. — Bernama
