YOURSAY 'Eh, wait, the protest is organised by Perkasa, you say? Oh, okay then, no problem.'
Perkasa leads 1,000 in protest against Felda DG
Malaysian Born: It's unfortunate that we have to keep hearing about these Perkasa leaders. Their efforts make them appear as if they are saviors of the people, at least in their own minds.
It would be appropriate for the Felda DG (director-general) to take legal action against the leaders of this rabble for slander.
It should be a clear message to people like them that if they want to indulge in innuendoes and fabrications, these are actionable and will prove expensive for them.
Even if it does not go far in the courts, it will get maximum coverage in the social media which will effectively get the truth out.
The courts will also deliver a painful lesson to the likes of the Perkasas of the world that they can't get away with attacks like this.
I'm not saying who is right or wrong, but the statement referring to a purge of traitors is unacceptable, with references to this DG, which is terribly damaging.
Malaysian53: Deputy IGP Khalid Abu Bakar, how is it that Perkasa can lead 1,000 plus clowns to protest against Felda DG? Is it legal by your new laws?
Meanwhile, students are arrested immediately and the gathering at KLCC of a few hundred is not allowed.
We still remember how the police behaved at the cow-head protest, enjoying the scene and doing nothing to stop such barbaric behaviour.
When the demonstration is anti-government, the police will stop it before it starts, and if it is in favour of the Umno-BN government, the protest will be allowed to continue until the objective is met and only then the protesters are asked to disperse. Right, Khalid?
Stop being Umno's running dogs. Do not lose the little respect you have even with the majority community.
Mob1900: When a small group of 15 students held a 'silent protest', the PRDM (Royal Malaysian Police) came with 25 personnel. But this mob of Perkosa gets a fee waiver discount under the ‘Selective' Assembly Bill.
Concern Citizen 1M: Pusat Latihan Polis (Pulapol) is just 500 meters away, yet no police were present. Malaysia is really heading becoming the new Burma in this region.
Thinking: PDRM, what about the Peaceful Assembly Bill? No arrests? I thought public protest is not part of our culture?
Thanks for your continual support to Pakatan Rakyat. Please continue with these double standards.
Onyourtoes: This situation is just like the dying days of an Imperial China dynasty, where court officials, concubines and eunuchs all took whatever they could before fleeing for their lives.
Since we are in the swearing season, I want all Pakatan leaders to swear on their respective holy books that all those who plundered, stole, pilfered and abused shall never be left unpunished.
Nicholas Lim: But street protests are not our way of life. Think of the traffic jams. Think of all the businesses that have to suffer losses.
The protesters will scare off foreign tourists and investors. These are irresponsible people. Freedom has its limits, if not there will be anarchy.
Eh, wait, the protest is organised by Perkasa, you say? Oh, okay then, no problem. Anyone who criticise the demonstration is attacking Islam, the Malays and the Malay rulers.
Anonymous_3e4b: Perkasa, the real traitor to the Felda settlers are the ones that are going to sell off their plantation ownership to people outside their community.
And Perkasa, since you are talking about traitors, go lodge nationwide police report about the latest news sensation - RM150 billion illicitly siphoned out of 1FunnyMalaysia. If you can't do it, than call yourself 1Funny Perkasa.
Saneesvara: Perkasa and Umno are the real traitors - embezzling the money of the Felda settlers. Some of the Felda settlers are too stupid to know the truth and got conned by the Perkasa and Umno goons.
Dood: Naturally, since Perkasa, Umno/BN and gang were involved, PRDM won't take action and Umno-BN leaders will say it is the people's right to express their dissatisfaction and so on.
Anonymous: Noisy protest = scot free. Silent protest = ‘masuk lokap'. Job well done, PRDM! - Malaysiakini
