NEXT UP - Umno, PAS alliance: Deputy Prime Minister - HADI 'BAWANG'!

NEXT UP - Umno, PAS alliance: Deputy Prime Minister - HADI 'BAWANG'!
Malaysians are raring for the day that political party PAS splits from Pakatan Rakyat. Not only opposition supporters, but pro-Umno supporters too are asking what is taking them so long. The Selangor MB saga has shown that it is clear sabotage on the part of Pas, which saw Azmin becoming the Menteri Besar, at the expense of Wan Azizah.
Conciliatory talks have failed, but DAP and PKR has stopped short of formally asking the party to take a walk. So the party continues to stick on to the coalition like a leech, taking pot shots every now and then, with their anti-stance on the recent Oktoberfest, local government elections, while busy trying to revive the spectre of Hudud in Kelantan State.
Pakatan must act fast to cut out the cancerous tumour
How can the Pakatan partners even think, that hope still exists to save the coalition from imploding? The Ulama faction seems to have a mind of its own, completely oblivious to the situation around them, and if you ask them about PR’s manifesto, the Buku Jingga, they would probably look at you with blurry eyes.
The fact that they are all dressed up in religious garb like holy men, spotting a beard and moustache, but when they start to act and speak, they sound like total jerks devoid of any sense. Former leaders like Nasharuddin Mat Isa and Hassan Ali who loved to hide behind their religious credentials were weeded out when they toed the line, but it seems, that the rot has gotten to the woodwork, with even the Pas President severely affected.
DAP and PKR owes its supporters an apology for having led us to think that Pas, could ever be an honest political partner capable of real change. After expecting the Pas Chief to lie low and remain invisible after his last caper, Hadi has again reappeared with another bombshell; saying that holding local elections would lead to a “May 13″ situation, hinting of race riots as in 1969. He also said that local polls would widen the social divide and create instability because the beneficiaries would be urban dwellers, the majority of whom are Chinese.
Census figures have since proven PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang dead wrong to suggest that local council elections would worsen race relations or lead to racial violence, because of racial voting. Out of 49 towns and cities, only two state capitals, Penang Island and Ipoh, have Malay minority populations, while Subang Jaya, Teluk Intan and Sibu have a smaller Malay population than others.
Malays form the majority (from 97% in Dungun to 46% in Petaling Jaya) in 46 out of 49 towns and cities, including the federal capital and the provincial capitals of Kota Kinabalu and Kuching.
Minister for local government, Abdul Rahman Dahlan, quickly jumped at the opportunity to back Hadi’s statement, by saying that Malaysians still voted based on racial background, and this would show up in towns as well as rural councils, causing “racial animosity and distrust”.
Another PAS leader, Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man quickly reminded (PR) leaders to put aside differences over the local government elections issue and focus instead on their similarities , citing that the people were getting fed up with the seemingly never-ending infighting between PKR, DAP and PAS.
However, PAS Leader Haron Din has interjected that the entire PAS membership was against local government elections, without citing any resolution taken at any PAS convention.
Haron urged DAP to stop being stubborn in insisting on local polls and cautioned DAP against equating the local polls issue with PAS’ promotion of hudud laws which is the essence of PAS’s struggle, while local elections are not the core of DAP’s struggle.
The Public is fast losing confidence in Pakatan Rakyat
PR seems to be a shadow of its former self, with the public losing confidence in the once mighty coalition that garnered the majority vote in the last election. PR seems to be rather sick lately and short of being admitted into the ICU ward, and many have expressed contempt for the coalition.
Their quarrels started when they made significant gains in the last GE. Instead of closing ranks and getting to work they continued to argue about their 'policies'. But the problem was that they haven’t stopped even until today, although they remain boastful about 'taking over ' Putrajaya.
With all the infighting, Putrajaya’s dream will probably remain a fantasy for the next hundred years. Knock, knock, it’s time to wake up! Get your sorry ass off the ground, and put your house in order. Start with that sore thumb, Hadi 'Bawang!' He has to go and pronto!
Even in the unlikely event that PR wins the next election, given the current scenario, one would shudder at the thought that Hadi may go on to become the next Deputy Prime Minister.
Until today, none of the PR leaders dare to stand up to the PAS President’s nonsense or to tell him off. Opposition Anwar Ibrahim could only offer a meek retort; “that is Hadi’s personal view” while the Utusan media echoed Hadi’’s opinion right up to a tee
There are some who even thinks that it maybe, Pas’s bargaining chip. You give me hudud and I give you council elections?!
Sincerely, how democratic can this nation be, if we reject local council elections? There were local governments before BN government unjustifiably abolished it. The benefits of local council elections are too many to be simply ignored.
DAP leader Lim Kit Siang made a statement lately that; “if Pakatan Rakyat is serious about capturing Putrajaya in the 14GE, PR must have supreme confidence in capturing the majority of the 148 local authorities if local elections are held with the restoration of the third vote.”
Hadi’s many shortfalls
As a Muslim leader, one would have expected Hadi to show the world, that Islam can be good for all, not to stab a friend and ally in the back. In his old age, he isn’t getting wiser or more tolerant, but descended onto foolish stupidity and racial extremism. His actions has shown his outdated-ness, archaic, outmoded, antiquated, egoistic and a religious fraud who speaks with his foot in the mouth.
He seems to share similarities with Perkasa Ibrahim Ali, as both have attested that the majority is under siege by a minority and both are singing the May thirteen song. Could they be sleeping together?
His latest twit calling on Pas’s off-shoot Pasma, to join Umno if they are in a hurry to get to Putrajaya, shows how desperate and cornered, he has become?!
Or is he copying UMNO's strategy as a scare tactic to unite a fragmented PAS? Or maybe, he feels that his days are numbered in Pas, and the frantic need to consolidate his future with Umno, before he gets ousted?
It’s high time to drop the hatchet
Lim Kit Siang also said that if PAS has no confidence in Pakatan Rakyat achieving great victories, if local government elections are restored, PR must return to the drawing board as this does not bode well for PR’s grand design to win Putrajaya in the 14GE.
With elections just two three years away, PR is still dragging its feet in making the ultimate decision to confront Pas. DAP and PKR needs to steer clear of PAS, and let it go alone come GE14.
Moderate Malay Muslims will not back out and would continue their support for DAP and PKR. In fact, a Pakatan without Pas, would eventually become stronger, with new moderate leader leaders given a chance to lead and prove their worth. PR would be rejuvenated, with ample seats to contest, without any threats of internal sabotage.
Lastly, pro-Pakatan supporters especially the savvy Non Malays who are more demanding, finds it totally unacceptable or continue to standby and watch PR bickering over minor squabbles like little children , or retaining a traitorous Hadi who is bent on sowing discord, when it is as clear as daylight that he is about to move on to the dark side along with his merry band of religious freaks.
So, stop dawdling and get it over with. Either Hadi or Pas has to go. There are no two but’s about it! - MAILBAG
