Najib threatens to sue Rafizi over remarks on Rosmah

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is threatening to sue PKR vice-president Rafizi Ramli if he does not apologise over his remarks during the anti-GST rally on Saturday.
In his speech, the opposition lawmaker made references to the prime minister's wife Rosmah Mansor and fashion house Jakel Trading.
Najib's lawyer Mohd Hafarizam Harun said he has received instructions to issue a letter of demand to Rafizi.
"I will draft a letter of demand for Rafizi within this week and serve it to him when he comes out of remand.
"A second letter of demand will be served on Kinitv for carrying the video," he added.
Yesterday, Rafizi was arrested under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act (OSA) for exposing a classified document which purportedly showed a link between 1MDB and Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera.
Thus far, Najib has filed six legal suits. However, none of the suits has gone for trial yet.
Najib is suing Malaysiakini for two articles compiled from readers' comments over the Terengganu imbroglio.
The other suits are against Petaling Jaya Utara MP Tony Pua, Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming, PAS mouthpiece Harakah, former MCA president Dr Ling Liong Sik and Rafizi.
Asked whether in the meeting yesterday Najib also gave instructions to file suits against The Wall Street Journal and former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Hafarizam said: "No. Let us concentrate on the suit filed in the country first." -Mkini
