PETALING JAYA: Two localities – one each in Sabah and Pahang – will be placed under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) to curb the spread of Covid-19 infections from Sept 25 until Oct 8.
In a statement today, National Security Council (MKN) director-general Rodzi Md Saad said Kampung Pangkalan Abai in Kota Belud in Sabah will be placed under EMCO.
In Pahang, Kampung Telimau in Pos Terisu, Cameron Highlands will be placed under a similar restriction.
Rodzi added that the EMCO at several localities in Pahang, Terengganu and Sabah will end tomorrow.
In Sabah, the localities are Taman Sungai Labuk in Beluran, Kampung Timug in Kudat, Kampung Lembah Permai and Kampung Desa Aman in Ranau, and Henry Gurney school in Keningau.
In Pahang, the EMCO at Kampung Kuala Koyan in Lipis will end tomorrow.
In Terengganu, the EMCO at seven localities in Paka, Dungun will end tomorrow. The localities are Bandar Paka, Gong Gemia, Cacar Baru, Limbong, Kuala Paka, Taman Indah Permai and Telaga Mas. - FMT
