The Selangor government has welcomed Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin's approval of the use of a vaccination certificate issued by its Selangkah application until the recipients received a digital certificate in MySejahtera.
Selangor Health exco Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the decision was a recognition of efforts carried out through the state's vaccination drive that runs parallel to the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
"The state views the decision to allow the use of the Selangkah vaccination certificate as recognition of the Selangor government's initiative to complement federal efforts in managing the Covid-19 pandemic," she said in a statement.
"Therefore, Selangor citizens who have yet to receive their MySejahtera digital vaccination certificate can now use the certificate in their Selangkah application as verification document for daily activities," Siti Mariah added.
Khairy said yesterday that the MySejahtera team has been instructed to resolve the issue of "missing" digital certificates on the MySejahtera application within a week.
He said the directive was issued following concern among the fully vaccinated who are yet to receive their digital certificate.
As the government continues to loosen Covid-19 restrictions under the National Recovery Plan, most establishments and services require patrons to be fully vaccinated, with the checks conducted at the premise entrances. - Mkini
