COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 6,342 new Covid-19 cases yesterday, bringing the total cumulative cases to 4,421,443.
It also reported 12 new deaths, of which two were brought in dead. This put the death toll at 35,482.
New cases according to states are as follows:

Active cases currently stood at 85,404, down 44.3 percent compared to two weeks ago.
The 12 new deaths today were from Johor (3), Malacca (3), Penang (2), Selangor (2), Sabah (1) and Sarawak (1).
Over the past week, an average of 12.1 people were reported to have died of Covid-19, while the average for the past 30 days was 29.4, indicating that Covid-19 deaths are on the downtrend.
There have been 499 reported Covid-19 deaths this month. For comparison, there were 2,235 deaths last month and 770 deaths in February.
Malaysia has the highest number of deaths per capita in the Asean and East Asian regions with 1,071 deaths per 1 million population, and the fourth-worst in Asia after Iran, Lebanon and Jordan – all in the Middle East.
There are 1,657 Covid-19 patients who are hospitalised of which 91 are in intensive care.
The highest number of admissions yesterday was recorded in Selangor (172) followed by Johor (79) and Sabah (55). - Mkini
