PETALING JAYA: The cops are on the hunt for a man who is suspected of slashing four family members with a parang while breaking fast at a house in Johor.
Kota Tinggi district police chief Hussin Zamora identified the man as 38-year-old Adi Hashim, who worked at a pineapple farm and whose last known address was 1003, Blok 12, Felda Air Tawar 3.
Hussin added that the suspect’s wife, mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law were severely wounded in the attack, which took place at about 7.11pm in a house at Kampung Sedili Kecil, Kota Tinggi.
“The man is believed to have suddenly run amok and slashed all the victims with a parang. The suspect’s two young children, aged 5 years and the other 2 months, were unhurt. They were with their mother at the time,” Hussin said.
“All four victims are being treated at Kota Tinggi Hospital and are in stable condition. The cause of the incident is still being probed,” he said, Bernama reported. - FMT
