KOTA KINABALU: The body language of PKR members has given party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution Ismail confidence in his bid to be elected deputy president.
He said his many years in the party meant he could “read” the responses, gestures and facial reactions of party members. “I think I still have a good chance of being elected,” he said at a party function here.
However, he reminded party members that the contest was part of the party’s democratic process and not intended to sever ties among leaders and party members.
Saifuddin and PKR vice president Rafizi Ramli are contesting the deputy presidency at the party elections next month.
He said members who were undecided about how to vote should “love Rafizi, vote for Saifuddin” at the elections. - FMT
