MELAKA: The Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, shared cooking tips with a murtabak vendor during a walkabout at the Ramadan Bazaar in Peringgit this evening.
“This secret recipe is just between us,” Tunku Azizah said to the stall holder, with some tips to give his murtabak rendang some extra oomph.
The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, had his attention to two Melaka dishes, “beriyani Muar” and “kuih keria gula Melaka”, at the bazaar today.
The royal couple and their daughter Tengku Puteri Raja Afzan Aminah Hafidzatullah spent almost an hour mingling with the crowd as they stopped to chat with some traders at the bazaar.
They later broke their fast at Al-Azim mosque after meeting a crowd who gathered at the nearby Islamic Centre Square. - FMT
